6. What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
Today i figured out that you can't have two of the same int's in a program because the program probably can't figure out which one to use. Because of this i made a great deal of progress and should be done by early tommorow.

9/25/07 reflection questions
4. Are there any specific tips you would give to someone else tackling the same problem? How would
what you suggest benefit that person in solving the problem?
Today i had a problem trying to find an error in my program because it said it had 3 errors and it turned out that with some careful searching there was only one error. I would suggest to somebody else that they just be patient and take the time to find whatever looks odd. If you can't figure it out, ask the teacher.

9/24/07 silent reading
Today i read about the different parts of the brain as well as reading up on Beloved on Spark Notes to get a general idea of the plot. The reading about the brain was on wikipedia and dictionary.com which taught me the function of each part of the brain.

3. How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?
I go about testing my problem by cutting part of the program out to see if the first or second part is working. That way i can narrow it down to see which lines need work and which ones are done. When the program is actually functioning, i fill it in to see if there are any bugs. The results were that my program worked perfectly.

9/19/07 reflection question
1. What problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome
them?/How did you overcome them?
I had a problem figuring out the output for my first programming project. It turned out that i had to have my input reflect my output exactly and that not everyone's format works for everyone else's work. Now at least i know how to do long inputs and outputs and can reference them if i can't figure it out.

6. What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
Today i worked on my first project assignment. I was having trouble figuring out how to do the output though the input was relatively easy. Next class i need to make sure the output is done because it is due.

Silent Reading 2 - 9/17/07
I read about "Their Eyes were watching God" on sparknotes because it has good detail and explains all of the chapters with quotes to go along with it.

Silent Reading
I was reading, "Their Eyes were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston. Its about a african american trying to find confidence in herself and be able to speak aloud even though she has an oppressive "companion".

1. What problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome
them?/How did you overcome them?
I didn't realize that i had to separate each line of code until i executed the program and it didn't work. All i have to do is simply remember that each line of code has to be separated even if it is forming one image.
